Ryan U12 Blue 3 v Colebrook Royals D 0

Ryan started the game well, with only 11 players available it was going to be hard for the boy’s on a very hot morning. Colebrook only had 10 players turn up but they gave a good account of themselves and never stopped trying. Ryan had numerous chances to score but they could not find that final touch. With half time approaching Ryan were again pushing forward and after some good passing they split the Colebrook defence and C.George was on hand to put the home side in front.

The 2nd half started much like the first, Ryan pushing forward but failing to increase their lead. Colebrook had their chances to level the score but they also could not find that final touch. With minutes remaining Ryan increased their lead with goals from M.Dimitrijevic and J.Mullarkey, both were well taken after some good work from S.Moulding and M.Taylor. Ryan eventually ran out 3-0 winners.

This was a good performance today and with only 2 league games to go the boy’s are still in the running for a third place finish. Colebrook Royals deserve praise for their performance with only 10 men they never gave up.
